HIV/AIDS

We assist individuals and families affected by HIV/AIDS who face a broad range of legal issues including discrimination, housing, HIV confidentiality, disability, Medicaid, and permanency planning.

HIV Confidentiality is intended to protect individual privacy (of those who are HIV positive or negative) and to reduce the risk of discrimination and/or harm that may result from disclosure

Under Article 27-F “confidential HIV-related information” includes any information indicating an individual has had an HIV test, has HIV, AIDS, or any HIV related illness, and/or has been exposed to HIV.

Breast Cancer (Pink Project)

This program focuses on the civil legal needs of Hudson Valley residents affected by breast cancer and provides legal information to patients, survivors, caregivers and community members through presentations.

Disability Advocacy

We represent adults and children who are filing claims for disability benefits or are appealing the termination or denial of federal benefits.
